Barely six days when the umbrella body, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) embarked on nationwide solidarity protest in support of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) leadership of ASUU has extended the five months strike with another four weeks.
The decision was taken at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the union in Abuja today, Monday August 1, 2022.
This latest step will be a forceful extension of students to remain at home for another four weeks followed the inability of the union to resolve its face-off with the Federal Government.
The union has been on strike since February 14 2022.
